These collages are pieces of the products of preschoolers having had a field day or two with liquid watercolors on butcher paper. I couldn't bring myself to part with startlingly beautiful washes of paint upon paint, and allowed the pieces to speak to me and tell me how they wanted to be arranged, and how my pen and markers could bring their stories to life.

Tribe Vibe Urban Renaissance Artists: Each artist had our unique style and found inspiration in each other and the fashion trends of the day. Our hand-painted and silk screened t-shirts, hoodies and jackets made appearances on opular TV shows In Living Color, The Fresh Prince of Bel Aire, Living Single and MTV.
I relocated my studio from O Street Artists’ Studios to 1800 Belmont Arts, a three-story collective of African American and African artists and artisans. Tribe Vibe fans came weekly for the top pickings of the newest wares, whether silk screes, originals, or painted furniture. Some people chose to frame and make pillowcases of the t-shirts rather than wear them.
